Notes

This Thomson family members album perspective of Oak Road dates to about 1911.  We’re looking west, standing in entrance of the Brosius Block (NW corner of 2nd and Oak).  You can see the 1910 To start with Nationwide Bank constructing in the distance.  This road would be paved about 1913, bracketing the dates.  The Paris Good, of which Mr. Thomson was a partner, is also seen.  I’ll bet that is where his extravagant duds arrived from.

The shop to the appropriate is a jewelry keep with an awning marketing “Repairing a Specialty”.  There is also a barber pole in the doorway.

Take note the iconic Butler Financial institution Making would not be built till 1924.
