Notes

This is a excellent common pose of three children fishing with their faithful dog sitting down by. I think two of the children are George and Frances Castner, youngsters of Charles and Therese Castner. Frances was born in 1899 and George in 1908.

This print reveals the consequences of “silvering”. With age at times silver compounds remaining in photographic paper after acquiring migrate to the surface and sort a reflective sheen which tends to make scanning pretty tricky. Photoshop was equipped to take away the silvering from most of the picture field, but it is obvious around the edges.
