This image had me scratching straining my brain, as I knew the name was familiar but couldn’t place it.  I remembered Bill Pattison telling me about him, but couldn’t remember what he said.  Fortunately Hal Puddy was famous enough to have a Wikipedia page.  This page reminded me he was a Hood River High School graduate who played football for the 49’ers before returning to Hood River as City Engineer and later City Manager in the 1950s.  This explains why he has a list of city planning commission members on his wall.  He went on to be city manager in Bend and then in Port Angeles Washington.

This history jogged my memory enough to find I traced the same path almost twelve years ago with this post.
