This view looking up Third Street towards Oak dates to about 1912.  The streets would be paved in 1913, and the First National Bank was built in 1910 along with the Heilbronner Building in the foreground.

You can see the offices of the Hood River Glacier on the first floor of the Heilbronner Building.  Next door is “Electric Wiring and Supply Company.”  Basement of the First National Bank houses a realtor promoting “Orchard Land” and the National Apple Company.  Upstairs the Heilbronner Building houses the offices of Stearns and Darby, Lawyers, as well as a physician whose name I can’t make out.

The building on the SW corner of 3rd and Oak advertises “Furnished Rooms For Rent.”

Maybe Dale can ID the automobile for us.  I am impressed he is trusting his parking brakes on that hill. At least his front wheels are turned toward the curb.
